Hope Valley Green Home Owners Association
Annual Business Meeting
January 11, 2016
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 PM.
Homeowners present were: Andrew Palumbo; Sarah Michaels; Allison Alderman; Roger Vroom; Erick Faulkner; Jim and Jen Gundersdorf; Stacy Woodring; Kim Walker; Ian and Shelia Shearer; Josh Wilson; Charlie Muinuri; Byron Johnson; John Pouder; Zac Caffall.
Old Business
· Reviewed minutes from January 12, 2015 meeting.
· Motion to approve by Stacy Woodring; 2nd by Jim Gundersdorf
· All attending were in favor
· Motion approved
New Business
· Nomination for Zack to replace Andrew Palumbo in 2017
· Motion to approve by Stacy Woodring; 2nd by Jim Gundersdorf
· All attending were in favor
· Motion approved
· The budget was reviewed and motion to reduce dues from $120 to $90
· Current expenses: $5,200 (repairs to irrigation system, new lights at the front of neighborhood, legal expenses)
· Lawn care currently $196 month
· Motion to approve by Jim Gundersdorf; 2nd by Kim Walker
· All attending were in favor
· Motion approved
· Discussed benefit of turning HOA over to a management company to tackle violations, lack of payment, etc. so neighbors would not have to deal with difficult issues with fellow neighbors. As well as tackling the fence issue. Andrew Palumbo stated it wasn’t cost-effective to have a use a management company in the past and the fence issue will take years to tackle so it may be something that we do in the future.
· All agreed current fence brings down property value
· Discussed possibility of having the sidewalk extended on Hope Valley Road. Currently there are no plans for the city to extend it. Discussed doing a letter writing campaign to City Council and attending City Council Meetings in hopes of getting the sidewalk extension approved.
· Discussed current pot holes in neighborhood and that a work order had been placed and should be fixed within 90 days
